I provide care for children, adolescents, and adults dealing with anxiety, panic disorders, PTSD, depression, insomnia, headaches, digestive disturbances, hypertension, and chronic pain.
My approach weaves together multiple therapeutic modalities—mindfulness training, biofeedback, acceptance‑based counseling, herbal medicine, and targeted education—to help patients build self‑awareness, self‑compassion, and greater tolerance for mental, emotional, and physical distress. The goal is to strengthen their ability to regulate neurobiological responses to stress. I also guide patients in practical mind‑body skills such as therapeutic breathwork, progressive muscle relaxation, autogenic training, meditation, and guided visualization.
For the past 25 years, I have served the Seattle community—primarily from my downtown practice. As a West Seattle Resident, I am excited to soon offer appointments on the westside. Stay tuned for updates! I also serve as adjunct faculty at Bastyr University, where I train naturopathic medical students in the hands‑on practice of mind‑body medicine. In addition to clinical supervision, I provide mentorship and specialized training for both emerging clinicians and practicing physicians.

Mind‑body medicine understands health as a dynamic interplay between the physical body and our mental, emotional, social, spiritual, and behavioral lives. It approaches care by treating the whole person, viewing symptoms not as isolated problems but as meaningful signals that can reveal underlying imbalances and point toward root causes of distress or dysfunction. Its clinical methods integrate seamlessly with other medical approaches and draw from a wide range of evidence‑based practices, including counseling, biofeedback, mindfulness and awareness training, breathwork, meditation, guided imagery, autogenic techniques, nutrition, exercise, and yoga.
Biofeedback is a type of mind-body medicine. It is a gentle and effective method in alleviating the symptoms commonly caused by or influenced by stress. During a biofeedback session, sensitive biomedical equipment measures internal body functions (heart rhythms, breath patterns, sweat gland activity, skin temperature, and muscle tension). The infomation gathered during a session can help identify the unique changes that occur in the body and mind during stress, and can help guide us in how best to regulate the stress response so we can learn to become more reslilent.
Naturopathic medicine is a system of health care that uses modern diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, scientific research, and natural methods to help maintain or restore optimal health. Naturopathic medicine includes the prevention of disease, treatment of the whole person, encouragement of the body's inherent healing abilities, and education of patients in health-promoting lifestyles. Naturopathic medicine seeks to remove the underlying causes of illness, and administers, or directs the patient to the most appropriate and least invasive therapies available.
