Stress often shows up in our bodies, minds, and behaviors. When we view the signs and symptoms of stress as meaningful messages signaling strain, we create the opportunity to examine and explore the factors that may be contributing to compromised health and well‑being. These signals often disrupting mood, thinking, relationships, sleep, digestion, and more—ultimately limiting our ability to live our lives as fully as we intend. Common stress-related conditions include, anxiety, depression, panic, PTSD, headaches, digestive distubances, insomnia, high blood pressure, and body pain.
Dr. Dompé integrates mindfulness training, biofeedback, acceptance-based counseling, and educational support to help individuals deepen their self-awareness and reconnect with a sense of wholeness. His approach fosters greater self-compassion and resilience in the face of cognitive, emotional, and physical distress, while enhancing each patient’s ability to regulate their neurobiological response to stress.
Initial Visit
The initial visit for adults is 50 minutes in duration and includes orientation, intake, and assessment to help determine the course of care and training.
Follow up Visits
Follow-up sessions are 50 minutes in duration, occur weekly (x 8-12 weeks but can vary), and may include the use of biofeedback to cultivate awareness and learn functional respiration, or may focus on counseling. Subsequent visits are 50 minutes in duration and include a review of practices and progress, continued training reinforcing concepts and practices learned, the introduction of new ones, or the visit may focus on counseling. One of my goals is that each patient leaves with a tool bag of skills (inner resourcing) that does not depend on me or biofeedback equipment. Once a patient is competent and goals are met, I recommend follow-up visits every 2-4 weeks to ensure skills and progress are maintained.
Cost:
I am contracted with the following insurance companies:
Regence, Premera, Lifewise, and First Choice.
Please contact your insurance company to verify coverage.
Although office visits are typically covered by most insurance plans, some mind-body medicine intervention services, including but not limited to biofeedback therapy and neuromuscular re-education, are considered by insurance companies to be medically unnecessary and therefore are not covered by insurance. Patients receiving biofeedback are responsible for a fee of $75.00 (with a sliding scale available for those who need it), in addition to any applicable copay or co‑insurance.
I offer a reduced time of service fee for those paying out-of-pocket and a sliding scale for those who qualify.
My time-of-service fees are as follows:
Initial visit: $295.00
Follow-up visits: $195.00
The above time-of-service fees include any biofeedback services rendered.
